Julie, supported by Access Supported Employment, writes poems about her work...

The Office Girl

I started a new job and that's in Waterloo
My first day there was yesterday and I enjoyed it too

I went on a computer, looking out for names
I told them I have one at home, and on it I play games

Told them all about myself and that I like to type
I make up my own poetry and with it put a stripe

I'm very good at poems, they come out my mind
They come to me so easily and I do have them signed

Said I have my desk at home, where I sit all the time
And I do such a lot of work, until I hear the clock chime

I close my computer up and give my eyes a rest
I do such a lot of work

And I have done my best

The Day Of My Review

Today it is important
The day of my review
They ask me how I am coping
I tell them how I do
Mum comes to support me
Gives me all the help I need
I will take a lucky charm
To hope that I succeed

I'm on the Committee
Tell them how I do there
I do voluntary work
For that I really care
Typing in the office
That's what I enjoy
If I get through (OH BOY)
